30 Day Video Game Challenge – Day 27

Day 27 – Most epic scene ever.

This may be coloured by nostalgia some but the Edea parade scene in Final Fantasy VIII will always stick out in my memory. It was such a perfect first turning point right at the end of the first CD (remember when games came on multiple CDs?)  and the tension they managed to build up to came to such a great end. No matter how much you prepare, no matter how well your plan comes together, none of that matters if your opponent can wipe the floor with you with a flick of her wrist.

This may also be where my mild obsession with cool, calm and ruthless female villains come in. Edea, Lady from Shadow Hearts, arguably the Boss from MGS3…
