30 Day Video Game Challenge – Day 18

Day 18 – Favourite protagonist.

Woops, I accidentally took the weekend off so here’s some catch up blogging.

Favorite protagonist is actually pretty difficult – I’m apparently all about that antagonist or side-character lifestyle. If I had to pick one I think it would have to be Squall Leonhart from FFVIII, partially because it was my first real console game and so I have a lot of fond memories, but also because I think he’s pretty ding dang believable as a 17 year old hero who’s been in military school his whole life. He’s a dork and he tries so hard and he’s really good at a few things but pretty bad at everything else, especially talking about feelings and yes he has issue what with being an orphan but they don’t consume him. His teenage angst is just that; teenage angst, and I really love him for it.
